GeCCo - Global eCollaboration Competition
What is GeCCo?
The Global eCollaboration Competition (GeCCo) is an international virtual 24-hour case study competition organized by IPMA Young Crew.
The project is addressed to all young project management professionals (18 - 35 years old)* from officially recognized Young Crew (YC) countries, disregarding their experience or area of expertise. Participants are chosen among the national YCs that have registered to GeCCo.
An idea of GeCCo is to organize an online competition that takes 24 hours and mix together teams in which each team member comes from a different country! With different time zones, 24 hours is almost as long as three days!

Participation in GeCCo is the perfect opportunity to:
- apply new approaches
- develop new skills
- get real experience of working in a distributed multicultural team
- find circle of like-minded people and make new friends
- Get real experience in working in distributed teams
Competition requirements
To participate you don't need much experience or a fancy title. The competition is addressed to all young project management professionals and students interested in project management
All you need is:
- Be 18 – 35 years old
- Be a resident of a country that is registered for the GeCCo competition
- Possess theoretical knowledge in project management: be familiar with common project management terms, definitions, methods, and tools (practical experience is a bonus)
- Have a good level of English proficiency
- Have an available and reliable internet connection
