Projektiammattilaiset ry (Association of Project Professionals) works with individual and organizational clients. The association handles personal data carefully and securely. This privacy statement describes the practices applied to the personal data processed by Projektiammattilaiset ry.

The personal data register of PRY consists of separate sub-registers, which include the PRY membership register, event-specific participant register, marketing register, certification register, and financial management system. 5. Legal Basis for Maintaining the Register

  • Preparation and maintenance of the list of members pursuant to § 11 of the Associations Act (26.5.1989/503).
  • Marketing and organizing events related to the association’s activities.
  • A register for marketing purposes, such as delivering newsletters and magazines.
  • Certification activities.

6. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

The membership register is primarily used for managing membership matters between the association and its members.

The registers also store data of event participants, individuals involved in certifications, PRY’s employees, board members, and other officers, as well as those related to PRY’s contracts and partnerships.

Access to the data is restricted to PRY staff requiring it for their tasks, with limited access granted to trustees and contractors. The data is also used for informing about and marketing PRY’s events and activities, as well as for membership marketing. Additionally, it can be used for research purposes (e.g., surveys) and statistical purposes. PRY personnel data is shared with service providers such as outsourced payroll and occupational health services under strict confidentiality.

8. Regular Sources of Information

Data is mainly collected from the members or their representatives during membership or service usage. Updates may also come from members themselves through the “OmaPRY” service or from employers paying membership fees.

9. Data Transfers and Disclosure

Data is not disclosed to third parties, except for specific cases like event marketing and organization, or compliance with certification-related agreements. Decisions on other disclosures are made by the PRY board.

10. Data Transfers Outside the EU or EEA

PRY has written agreements with all service providers ensuring that data is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.

11. Data Protection Principles

Appropriate technical and administrative measures are implemented to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data. Access to the system requires a username and password, and the connection is encrypted.

Individuals have the right to check and correct their data in the register by submitting a signed written request to the contact person mentioned above.

13. Right to Object

Members can object to the processing of their data for direct marketing purposes by notifying PRY or using the “OmaPRY” service.
