Become an IPMA Certified Consultant, Coach or Trainer

The CCT certification is aimed at project management consultants, trainers and trainers. The IPMA CCT certification has three levels: C, B and A. The level is determined by the candidate’s experience and expertise in project management consulting, coaching and training. Eligibility requirements

The choice of certification level depends on the candidate’s experience in consultancy/training and the level of consultancy/training assignments he/she has managed. Each IPMA CCT role and level has its own eligibility requirements.

Please note that at all levels, applicants must hold an IPMA A, B, C or D level certificate.

Eligibility requirements at different levels

You have been responsible for providing or supporting the delivery of pre-packaged standard consultancy, coaching or training services.
The services have had an impact on the development of project activities/project management and leadership of individuals, teams or organisations.
A minimum of six months’ work experience totalling at least 500 hours in the relevant consultancy, coaching or training role over the last three years.
Your job title could have been e.g. consultant/trainer, training expert, junior consultant/trainer

You have led the development and delivery of operational-level consultancy, coaching or training programmes.
Services have had a significant impact on the development of project activity/project management and leadership of individuals, teams or organisations.
A minimum of three years, with a total of 1 000 hours of work in the relevant consultancy, coaching or training role in the last five years.
Your job title could have been e.g. Training/Consulting Manager, Senior Consultant/Trainer

You have led the development and delivery of strategically impactful consulting, coaching or training services.
The services have had a strategic impact on the development of project activity/project management and leadership of individuals, teams or organisations.
At least five years of experience, totalling 1 500 hours of work in the relevant consultancy, coaching or training role over the last eight years.
Your job title could have been e.g. Senior Consultant/Trainer, Training/Consulting Manager, Management Consultant/Trainer

Consulting, coaching or training experience

In their application, applicants should provide examples of consultancy, coaching or training assignments in which they have worked to demonstrate that their experience meets the time eligibility requirements at that level. The application must provide details of the consultancy/coaching/training reference that best illustrates the applicant’s experience. No more than two years must have elapsed since the end of the implementation used as a reference by the date of submission of the application.

The right job title for the certified expert

Once an applicant has completed a level of certification, he/she is entitled to use the professional title of that level.
Possible job titles for certified consultants and coaches and trainers are:

Certified Executive Consultant & Coach (CECC)
Certified Executive Trainer (CET)

IPMA® Level-B
Certified Senior Consultant & Coach (CSCC)
Certified Senior Trainer (CST)

IPMA® Level-C
Certified Consultant & Coach (CCC)
Certified Trainer (CT)

Completion of the certificate

The CCT certification process is as follows.

The applicant orders the application forms from sertifiointi@pry.fi
The applicant will receive instructions on how to prepare the application and the necessary forms
The applicant returns the application form and the necessary attachments to sertifiointi@pry.fi
Two designated CCT assessors will check the applicant’s eligibility and request further information if necessary
Once the application has been approved, the CCT assessors will send the candidate instructions on how to prepare the reference descriptions.
The two designated CCT assessors will check the CVs and request further information if necessary
Once the CVs have been approved, the candidate will be invited for an interview.
On the basis of this interview, a decision will be taken to accept or reject the certificate

Prices for consultant and trainer certificates

IPMA CCT C-level 2 400 € (2 250 € for members of PRY)
IPMA CCT B-level 4 000 € (3 850 € for members of PRY )
IPMA CCT A level 5 000 € (4 850 € for members of PRY)

All prices are subject to the applicable VAT, unless otherwise stated. To be invoiced upon completion of the application evaluation. The membership price is valid for members of the Association of Project Professionals who have paid the membership fee prior to applying for certification.

Rejected applications will be charged €500.

Renewal of certificate

Certificates issued by IPMA® are valid for five years from the date of issue. After that period, the certificate must be renewed.

An application for renewal of a certificate may be submitted no earlier than six months before the expiry date and must be submitted no later than six months after the expiry date. Once the six-month time limit has expired, the certificate cannot be renewed and the certification process must be repeated in its entirety.

The service is new and the renewal application form has not yet been precisely defined. However, the renewal application form is similar to the initial certification form. The renewal will be granted on the basis of an approved renewal application only.
